Whizzpoppers
Today we went to the Roald Dahl children’s museum. Both the kids have been very interested in his books and have even traded movie time for book time, they’re so excited about the adventures. A very healthy fair deal, I’d say. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was just the beginning for them and their favorites tend to be the lesser known stories. So lucky for us his hometown is just round the corner from Greg’s hometown. And they built a museum and a café in his honor.

Becoming British
With one quarter British blood, (well actually more since I’ve got some in my mutt half) it would only be expected that the children, after spending a month and a half in England, would be connecting with their English roots. And certainly it is happening and I find it rather amusing.
Cricket anyone?
Kai has been determined the cricket champion of his summer sport’s camp. Now THAT is about as funny as it gets. I even said to Greg, “Now this cricket playing isn’t going

Isle de Brehat
On one of the three pleasant days we had in Brittany, (I mentioned prematurely that weather in Brittany is similar to that of San Francisco in a previous blog) we took a ferry over to Isle De Brehat, a beautiful tiny island without any cars!
We arrived and then rented bikes. Kai was SO excited to have his own bike with gears and Deva took it all in from the backseat of Greg’s bike. There were lots of cobblestone streets and hills—-the views were fantastic!
