A trip down memory lane
Just an hour from Rose and Pierre’s, we took the kids to the birthplace of their French roots. Francoise (a.k.a Grandmere) first took us to the farmhouse where she spent three years of her life with her Auntie. Her cousin, whom she lived with during that time still lives there and operates the farm. The house is at least 150 years old still standing with many of its original features. Understandable frustrations
Bon jour. It’s absolutely beautiful here. Of course England has it’s own beauty, but let’s face it, France is France. For one thing it’s warmer. I’m finding myself inspired at every street corner and I am tourista supreme, camera in hand at every waking moment. The buildings, the flowers, the shutters on the windows-I love them. Country Roads
Take me Home Country Road – Even for a TV dinner!
The kids had the best time horse back riding through the countryside. Deva is such a natural with animals. They brushed their horses and cleaned their hooves before mounting. Then they went on quite a long ride. Deva was so excited and impressed, “I went on a really, really, really long ride, Mommy!!” and she proceeded to describe the route.
