Because the tropical autumnal photo shoot was a disaster due to an uncontrollable climate, we rescheduled. Because the children were far from enthused by the idea of another afternoon of photo attempts, we bribed them. HA! Actually we even let them pick out their clothing and take photos with whichever friend they wanted to. No hassles, we would make it work. We talked about how fun it was going to be all morning and got them all psyched up. Minutes before everyone arrived Deva came strolling down the stairs grinning from ear-to-ear. “Mommy,” she said, “Look at how beautiful I look for the pictures!”
I turned and looked and tried really hard not to bust up laughing. She had found my deepest, darkest purple-maroon lipstick and had put so much on that it almost looked black. She had black bozo the clown lips! And ya know, that stuff is just NOT easy to get off! (especially when she really believed that she looked beautiful for the photos!) Gotta love photo shop!
Cheers & Ciao for Now,
Gina
