Uh, so about the mold and mosquitoes:

The day after we arrived, still groggy with jet lag, we jumped in the car to go out for an awakening swim. Suddenly we all realized there was an awful smell in the car. Searching for the source we noticed that the entire car was covered in mold. Yes, all of the doors were covered, the dashboard, even the steering wheel. The delights of living in the tropics.



Even more delightful is the vast population of mosquitoes. Not the teeny ones, but the big, black Dengue Fever ones. Yes, thrilled am I.



NOW, on the getting ready for school to-do list—-mosquito repellent is just before brushing teeth. This is probably coming across quite laissez faire, but let’s just say that being married to me this week, has been no picnic. And I suppose being my child hasn’t been a walk in the park either. But a gal’s gotta do what a gal’s gotta do. And so we’re moving.

Mold + Mosquitoes = Moving

I can not wait to get out of this moldy wet house! The mosquitoes LOVE Deva and the mold is murder on Kai’s allergies! We’re so outta this lowland dump!
